MoCo YoCo

MoCo YoCo is the Morgan County Youth Coalition.  Students from Warm Springs Middle School, Berkeley Springs High School and Paw Paw Middle/High School meet regularly in various clubs to promote positive behaviors in the community.   Our Youth clubs include:

Positive Partners Interact Club- Forms relationships with younger students that need positive role models, also participates in Youth Peace in Action and the World Affairs Seminar

Broadcasting Club- Shares positive messages and education with the community through various media outlets

Teen Court- Members participate in the local diversion program for youth that offers a second chance at making better decisions

SADD- Students Against Destructive Decisions, a registered national organization, members work toward educating the community about the dangers of substance use, bullying and other negative behaviors that affect the climate of our schools and families.

 

2018 Public Service Announcement Video: Warning- Alcohol & Minors Don’t Mix

This is the PSA that the Morgan County Youth Coalition wrote and filmed. It’s based on the concept of the dangers of underage drinking, especially when adults provide alcohol for the youth.

2019 PSA Video:

This video was created by two of our SADD members. Otice Carder and Natalie Hashem.  With the help of family members, they were able to create an award-winning video to show the dangers of excessive drinking.

Working together to empower young people to make smart decisions
